ABOUT ME
Meet Dr. Jason Shaver, PT, DPT
Navy Veteran • Physical Therapist • Former CrossFit LV-1 • Outdoor Athlete

For the past two decades, I’ve lived and worked in environments where capability matters— CrossFit boxes, the mountains and ocean, Coronado and Camp Pendleton, and now my garage-run performance space in Temecula.

After earning my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, I’ve helped hundreds of athletes and tactical professionals prevent injury, recover surgeries, and perform work and sport at higher levels.

I founded Shaver Performance and Physical Therapy to deliver world-class physical therapy and performance coaching without the limitations of insurance or overcrowded clinics.

Who I Work With
Whether you're an outdoor athlete, first responder, active/former military, or a hardworking dad trying to stay in shape despite the chaos of life, this is a place built for you. You don’t need fancy equipment, insurance approvals, or crowded clinics. You need focused treatment, real coaching, and a plan that works.
Why Cash Pay?
Insurance-based clinics are too often overloaded and rushed. Referrals, approvals, and copays complicate care. Cash-based physical therapy removes the barriers so you get:

✔ Consistent 60-minute minimum one-on-one sessions
✔ No hassle from required referrals or insurance denials
✔ Access to fitness programming, wellness work, and prehab
✔ A plan that prioritizes long-term performance—not billing codes

Your care should be determined by your goals, not the board members of an insurance company.

CLIENT FEEDBACK
"I have seen Jay for a multitude of issues including physical therapy pre and post surgery for my knee and shoulder. I also have Parkinson's disease which compounds movement problems with joint and muscle issues. Jay's vast knowledge base combined with his experience of working with athletes and first responders is evident in getting these people back to a level of optimal performance. I am deeply grateful for the work he has done with me."

Retired Firefighter/Paramedic
"Jason was my physical therapist for over a year, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. He is incredibly passionate about his patients' recovery and it shows in every session. Jay's hands are nothing short of magic with an impressive range of techniques at his disposal--from percussion therapy to myofascial release--and he always tailors treatment to what you need that day. He goes above and beyond to makue sure you leave feeling better than when you walked in. Without question, he's the best physical therapist I've ever had the pleasure of working with."
Rob R.
Outdoor Athlete/Awesome Dad
"I promise you a love/hate relationship with Jay.
He'll push you through a sadistic routine he tailors for you, and right when you're about to quit, he'll smile and drop a dad joke.... and then squeeze some more reps out of you. He is very passionate about his profession, and truly cares about his patients."
